Krimmler Achental in winter
In the Krimmler Achental and its side valleys you can experience every facet of the high mountains in winter – silent and covered with deep snow, full of sparkling snow crystals under a starry sky, wild and stormy or gentle and dreamy in the warm light of the sun.

Snow-shoe hiking
When you cross silently through the high valley in winter on snow shoes, you experience nature in a particularly intensive manner. Furthermore, snow-show hiking is also a sporting challenge and excellent training.
Cross-country skiing
It is fascinating to glide on cross-country skis through the picturesque winter landscape of the Krimmler Achental, past frozen blocks of granite, accompanied by the frozen Krimmler Ache. When the snow is good, an unmarked trail of 8 km leads from the highest Krimmler waterfall through the solitary high valley as far as the Krimmler Tauernhaus.
